Doing my son a favour.

May 8th, 2007 at 08:08 am

What do you do when the heel of your shoe break’s and you just started a twelve hours shift and can’t go home to get another pair of shoes or get them fixed? You guess it! Ring mum as she the only one not working today. So I had over a 50km around trip to my DS place to get another pair of shoes then on to where he is working today. While I was out I had a McDonald’s meal and a free coffee, saving $1.50 here, as it was a Senior Card deal.

That’s what mother is for!

I've had to make a five hour round trip to deliver a forgotten and needed bass amplifier before....I totally understand....we are MOMs!

I had this happen to me once, but mom lived 4,000 miles away so I used chewing gum, which actually worked on a temporary basis...you're a very good mom Smile

Here in the USA we celebrate Mother's Day. A thank you to mom for all she did/does for her children. My son has several english students at his school and they have said Mother's Day is not celebrated in England. How about in Australia?

Mother's Day is next Sunday here. It's very commercial day as you can't go shopping without seeing a display for Mother's Day. So Yes it's celebrated here.
