In my local area the electricity company is installing new electricity meters in houses that have old style ones, next year we will be able to choose whom you have as our supplier as at the moment it’s the state government is the only supplier. So we will have fun of locked in contracts and the good and bad along with it too!

As my meter box turn off switch is locked in a room and can not be access from the outside. I had to make contract with the company doing this job, so that I was home when they did come. Well he came today, I have a new digital meters and not the technology of 60 years ago or more. All houses that are over 50 years old are getting these new meters. No cost to us I hope! Keep you posted on that one!
