Update Flooding

January 19th, 2011 at 06:28 am

If you have been checking the links in my other posts for more updates, you will know about, what a fantastic job done by the Mud Army and regular Army to get Brisbane and Ipswich cleared of all that mud and smelly rubbish.

We have now storms coming into flooded area that are re-flooding some of these areas again.

I came across this link

Waiting until it loads then move the black line across to see the before and after photos or click on larger map which will zoom in and move around to different areas.

Now Victoria is flooding but not as bad for now as Queensland but some this water has to end up in Murray River where these places are flooding now from monsoon rains that went as far down to Tasmania. So when the flood water from Queensland gets to Murray River as a lot of our rivers run south, I hope they are ready for it again. The whole of Australia is soaked but for small part of Western Australia, I would think and we still have more to come until May at least.

I am very safe here from flood water.

I went to the city today and walked the block I work in last time in 1974. There is no sign on top like last time but all the basements were flooded again and still pumping out three buildings after a week, some will not have power back on until all the water is gone. Some parts of Brisbane may have more flooding at king high tide tomorrow. We are have more heavy rain storms this week.
