I had a fantastic Christmas Day, much better than I thought it would be, I did have a safe drive to my DS -SIL place over 60km away, plenty of traffic on the highway but I managed to pick the right lanes to be in, it has been a long while since I drove at that far in heavy traffic. I wouldn’t do it at night though not knowing which lanes to be in etc.
The weather was fine; Christmas Dinner was fantastic I do contribute this meal, handing over money to son’s MIL as I never took anything this year. On the menu was Turkey, Baked Ham, Chicken, King Prawns, 3 salads of Caesar, Pasta, Potatoes, Plum Pudding, Trifle & custard or fresh cream and all nuts, chocolates, chips and cherries you could eat. They had wine but I don’t drink it when driving at all. All my DIL sisters, mother and nieces were there. My son was the only male.
As for gifts I got a few good ones this year, shoes, handbag, scarf, some jewelry, cookbooks, chocolates along with nightwear.
