Picking up a raincheck

November 16th, 2006 at 11:24 am

A few weeks ago I got a raincheck for 2 L fruit drinks, so I got four bottles, and a few other things like 2 tubs Borax saving $2.94 alone, saving $5.90 overall.

As I had a $5.00 off voucher for a dress store, that I could spend at the shopping centre I was going to, I put this in my handbag, to see if they had any swimwear left in my size. I was lucky to be able get the size I wanted, but not the colour as I am using it in the family swimming pool it will not matter it’s still a colour that I can wear. Saving $5.00 off.

I had some lunch there too! Hot dog with mustard on a roll, and caramel skinny milk shake at Wendy ‘s it’s around $6.00 with milk shake. At Tina’s the lot was $ 2.45 saving $3.55

BREAKFAST Baked Beans on Toast Coffee

A raincheck is a voucher that some supermarkets give you when they have sold out of advertises special that week. Here we have 4 weeks to take an advantage of this. If you find a supermarket that has no stock left of that special at the end of that week, then you ask for a raincheck and number of you would like to buy. At times they will say that no raincheck or until sold out, then you can’t get one. I use this method as away of bulk shopping if it’s a good special price.

    No raincheck
Mean that you can't request a raincheck if that item is sold out or not in stock when you go to buy it!

You may have a different term for it in the US.
