Beaconfield's Miners are Free

May 8th, 2006 at 08:44 pm

I am up early this morning watching TV on the rescue while I am typing this up. Within the hour their will come up to the surface for the first time in 14 days. On overtime too! I would not like to be underground for hour than be for 14 days & nights trapped in the mine. This is a world first too!

I wonder how they lasted that long without food or water, or did they have some?

Wow, I just went to yahoo and read. They discovered they were alive after 5 days and sent supplies to them thru a small tube. This was in Australia. I am so thrilled that they are alive and out of the tunnel.

They just WALKED OUT a few minutes ago, and FIT enough to to go the funeral of the other miner that died today. Do watch any video clip. They were trapped Km underground by rock fall in a cage that was only 1.5m sq, no food or water for the first 5 days. (April 25 until now)
